PRESS CONFERENCE
MMC KIBLA, Wednesday, 5 October 2016, 10 a. m.
On Wednesday, 5 October 2016, representatives of the media and other interested parties are invited to attend the MIG 21 press conference, beginning at 10 a. m. at the MMC KIBLA (Ulica kneza Koclja 9, Maribor).
The conference will present the MIG 21 exhibition program, participating artists and a 3D virtual model presentation of the artworks that will be featured in KIBLA PORTAL.
MIG 21 – migratory interdisciplinary grid

MIG 21, an international art exhibition on the topic of migrations, opening on Friday, 7 October 2016 at 7 p. m. at KIBLA PORTAL, proposes an entirely humanist response to a clearly political question, thus connecting 50 exhibiting artists from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, France, Germany, Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Japan, USA, Mexico, Canada and Australia.

The White Aphroid
In the framework of the Risk Change project, the White Aphroid Award will be presented for the first time this year by KIBLA. At the MIG21 art show
& KIBLIX-MFRU 2016 festival, two prizes will be awarded to individuals or collectives: one for significant contemporary artistic achievements, and the other for innovative educational approaches in the interdisciplinary art sphere. Winners will be selected by an expert board of eight international curators. The financial value of the prize in both categories is 1.500 euros. Winners will be announced in November 2016.

KIBLIX-MFRU 2016
The intermedia festival KIBLIX-MFRU 2016, subtitled RISK CHANGE + TRUST, will be held between 10 and 12 November 2016 on various locations in Maribor.
The festival will be joined to the international exhibition MIG 21, and upgraded through interdisciplinary contents of international character, offering a rare selection from the global and Slovenian intermedia scene, including innovative educational topics, performances, artist talks, creative workshops, lectures, and a large-scale international conference.
ACE KIBLA is co-funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and the Municipality of Maribor. Project RISK CHANGE (2016–2020) is co-financed by the Creative Europe program of the European Union.
ACE KIBLA is a member of M3C, Multimedia Centers Network of Slovenia, and McRU, Network of Slovenian Arts Research Centers.
