Monica de Miranda residency in Budapest

Monica de Miranda has started her residency in July 2019, she spent the half of the residency then and started a collaboration with Hungarian curator (Eszter Szakács, https://curatorsintl.org/collaborators/eszter-szakacs) to be part of the OFF-Biennale program scheduled to April 2020.

Monica finished the production of her new project in March/April 2020 and was planned to come for the opening of the OFF-Biennale (scheduled end of April and of course cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation) and to finish the second part of her residency. Unfortunately she couldn’t come personally, but the planned project for the OFF Biennale show has been realized: a new video work about the double identity crisis of a a person who lost her home country.

We plan to show the work when the OFF-Biennale will be held in 2021 April.
