What is the path of electrons like, and what kind of effect is created when we direct electrons through the right positions? At the workshop we will get to know these positions, their logical connections, and discuss which of them are optimum. What do they measure, what effects do they produce, and what is the purpose of using them at all? Participants are going to create connections between electronic components, learn about their functions, and construct practical devices.
Zavod 404 (Institute 404) is the first youth technology & research center in Slovenia, which was founded with the aim of communicating technical skills to the young and inspiring them to pursue science, research, and entrepreneurship. The workshop found its home in the building of the Institute for Metal Constructions (Mencingerjeva St. 7, Ljubljana). The center is divided into two parts: the machinery section offers everything from hand tools to planes and a CNC milling machine, while the electrical-technology section comes with two 3D printers and several computers. It is open 24 hours a day, and it frequently happens that the best ideas are born between 3 a. m. and 5 a. m., with teams absorbed in observing the emerging prototype in one of the 3D printers. In a community where ideas are appreciated, true talents can evolve.
