The Manichean Metaphysics of Refugeeism
MMC Kibla, 26 January2017, 7 p. m.

A public lecture by dr. Boris Vezjak entitled The Manichean metaphysics of refugeeism: how lost Europeans return to their solid roots.

This is the second in a series of lectures on the topic of migrations and related challenges, which are being carried out as part of the Risk Change project.

The author will be presenting his views on the psycho-political happenings in relation to the current refugee tide in Europe: in what way are we shaping a collective paranoia when it comes to refugees; what kind of people support these ideas, and how do these ideas affirm a new, Manichean view of European identity?

Dr. Boris Vezjak is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Education in Maribor, where he teaches history of philosophy, media studies, ethics, and philosophical terminology.
