Borut Kržišnik, Simon Svetlik in glasbeno-scenski projekt „O“ (AV PERFORMANCE)

ACE KIBLA / Kiblix 2017

There is nothing more exciting than the constant exploration of the strange ways of freedom. We find ourselves on an open and slippery ground, where the image of freedom flows between one form and another. The line between the living and the technological is blurred as deliberation and mechanical determinacy collide with the unpredictability of the present moment. Thus, time and again, we are discovering life in technological devices, and mechanic patterns inside ourselves. In this tight clinch of unpredictability and constant change on one side, and fixed constructs on the other, we are building that “impossible” performance, which cannot be performed in a different way.

Simon Svetlik – video projection, video modulation

Ryuzo Fukuhara – dance, movement

Tušek (alias Borut Kržišnik) – music, computer, audio modulation

Simon Svetlik (b. 1973, Ljubljana) graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. His explorations of the interconnections between the visual and other art forms, and of the free choice of topics, have resulted in a diversified body of work, which is difficult to describe in terms of a common denominator, an ism. He has created numerous art works (paintings, sculptures, photographs, ambient and other installations, performances, etc.) and has also actively contributed to a series of group creations. He is the co-founder of the RGB art collective (a collective artistic experimentation “laboratory”, founded in 2001) and Meta City Symptoms (Material Conditions for Production) – a non-institutional art platform established in 2015; he created the music video Rhea 300.000.000 VK, and co-created the stage set for the feature film Kakor v nebesih, tako na zemlji (On Earth as it is in Heaven), directed by Franci Slak. He lives and works in Ljubljana.
