Vojko Pogačar graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana (1973). For a decade he worked as an industrial designer (Paloma, Elkom), followed by 18 years of working as a self-employed person in the field of culture. Between 1992 nd 1993 he lived and worked in Paris. He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists Maribor (DLUM) and ZDSLU (Union of Slovene Fine Arts Associations), Association of Fine Artists Paris – Belleville and a member of art groups 3H30 (Paris – Bordeaux) and AntArctica (1997). In 1999, he received an arts recognition award for industrial design (awarded by the ALUO, Ljubljana); he became assistant professor and later associate professor at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Civil Engineering. He is also head of the Industrial Product Design Lab as part of the same faculty. a In 2010, he became the president of SZB – Slovenian association for colors; a year later, together with his colleagues from the faculty he established D.COMP – Design Center of Excellence within RAZ:UM. As an adjunct professor, he teaches Engineering Design at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maribor.
