art show. An exchange of perspectives on art – the last standing freedom-of-thought fortress; our attitudes towards reality; a reflection and response to the present and the past; and many other individual and specific issues will be discussed at the upcoming event. Join us!

Patricia Piccinini’s exhibition Consciousness, opens this June in Maribor, Slovenia. The exhibition of art works by this Australian artist is the only solo exhibition of her works this year in Europe, and has been ranked as the Top Contemporary Show of 2016, with three of her shows in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia) attracting more than one million people.

The journey continues with her next stop, Maribor. Undoubtedly, her first appearance in Slovenia will attract a great deal of interest from the general and expert public, art critics, artists, and others, and the exhibition in KIBLA PORTAL is bound to resonate far across borders.

The Maribor art show will feature a diverse and extensive selection of her works. This truly exceptional artist coming all the way from Australia is preparing a unique state-of-the-art gallery set-up. An originally conceived retrospective will showcase works from all areas of her artistic endeavors, from drawings and paintings, sculptures and objects, to installations, video art, and digital prints.

Patricia Piccinini (born 1965 in Freetown, Sierra Leone) is an Australian artist who works in a variety of media, including painting, video, sound, installation, digital prints, and sculpture. In 2003 she represented Australia at the 50th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.
