he fields of 3D scanning and printing are interrelated areas of expertise. Models from a 3D scanner can be exported, and printed or processed using CAD tools. The mentors will provide an introduction to the technology of scanning, the mode of functioning, practical examples, model modifications, and the advantages and disadvantages of 3D scanners in general. They will present the David 3d SLS 3 model, which operates on the principle of structured light and works exceptionally fast and accurately. Interested visitors will have a chance to test the scanners and digitalize scans of their faces.

Denis Fras (1980) graduated in Media Communications from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Maribor. After a short period of working in computer engineering, his focus turned to graphic design. Since 2010 he has been teaching that subject at the Secondary School of Design in Maribor. He enjoys working with young people, and is motivated by their enthusiasm and joy of discovering new things, as well as the idea of transferring his own knowledge and experience onto them.

Stevan Čukalac (1980) holds a BA degree from the Faculty of Education in Maribor and a MA degree from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. He participates in various exhibitions and projects from the wider field of graphic design. He is employed as a secondary school teacher of drawing, art history, and photography.
